Roanoke Launches Bike Share

first_imgIn April, Roanoke, Virginia will install a bike share system similar to those found in New York and D.C. Bike Share will place 50 bicycles at 10 stations throughout the city, allowing anyone to use them and drop them off.  Private donors contributed money to purchase the bikes and bike stations that will be set up around the city of 97,032. Roanoke is one of the smallest cities to adopt a Bike Share program.“It’s a small enough city that you can get from point A to Point B and you can do your shopping you can run your errands you can do whatever you have to on a bike,” said Chris Heslin, owner of UnderDog Bikes, told Roanoke news station WDBJ.Pricing has not yet been determined. All turbines standing at Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm

Now we have completed the installation of the foundations, cables and turbines, in only 9 months,” said Henrik Egholm, EPC director Borssele 1 & 2 for Ørsted. DEME Offshore has completed the installation of the 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines at the Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. Commissioning of the 752 MW project is planned for 5 October, when it will become the largest offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. DEME’s jack-up tandem Sea Installer and Sea Challenger were in charge of the installation at the site located 22km off the coast of the province of Zeeland. center_img The first turbine was installed in mid-April, shortly after which Borssele 1 & 2 delivered its first power. “We have been able to construct the whole 752 MW wind farm, during a pandemic without anyone being infected which all can be very proud of.
