Virat Kohli rued the batting collapse which led to India’s first defeat against Australia in Twenty20 internationals since September 28, 2012.Put in to bat in the second T20I at Guwahati, Indian innings never took off and the hosts were bundled out for 118 in 20 overs. In reply, Australia rode on Moises Henriques’ 46-ball 62 not out and Travis Head’s 48 not out off 34 balls to win by eight wickets with 27 balls to spare. The victory helped Australia level the series 1-1 with the third and final match of the tour to be played in Hyderabad on October 13.”Not the performance we wished for. Australia were much better on the day. We were not good enough with the bat,” Kohli said at the post match presentation ceremony. However, the India skipper was high on praise for Man of the Match Jason Behrendorff, who rattled India in only his second T20I game with match figures of 4/21.”I thought the ball to Rohit was very good. His line and length was very tight. He made us think. Credit to him for hitting the right areas. He definitely had a top class day today,” Kohli said.
