first_img11Sep McCready, House honor first responders during annual 9/11 ceremony The Michigan House of Representatives today conducted its third annual 9/11 memorial service, commemorating the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, state Rep. Mike McCready announced. The House also honored the eight military members and first responders from Michigan who lost their lives in the line of duty in the past year.State Rep. Nole Clason and Chief David Hendrickson, both of the City of Bloomfield Hills Public Safety Department. Lt. Clason traveled to New York City to assist the NYPD and FDNY after 9/11.“It was an honor to have Lt. Clason and Chief Hendrickson with me today as we paid tribute to these brave men and women,” said McCready, R-Bloomfield Hills. “It is important to remember their sacrifices and thank them for their service.”The event included an invocation by Rep. Bruce Rendon, the presentation of the colors and acknowledgment of all first responders and their families in attendance.“As the chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Michigan State Police, I have seen firsthand how dedicated our first responders are to protecting their communities and state,” McCready said. “I am grateful for them as well as those who are serving our country in the military.”### Categories: McCready News,McCready Photos,Newslast_img
