All turbines standing at Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm

DEME Offshore has completed the installation of the 94 Siemens Gamesa 8 MW turbines at the Borssele 1 & 2 offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. Commissioning of the 752 MW project is planned for 5 October, when it will become the largest offshore wind farm in the Netherlands. DEME’s jack-up tandem Sea Installer and Sea Challenger were in charge of the installation at the site located 22km off the coast of the province of Zeeland. center_img The first turbine was installed in mid-April, shortly after which Borssele 1 & 2 delivered its first power. “We have been able to construct the whole 752 MW wind farm, during a pandemic without anyone being infected which all can be very proud of.
